part 4

...and of course, dancing, Kampala style...

part 3

Fun and games in Gulu...

part 2

Traditional Kiganda dance, as performed by our amazing Masaka kids.

Reminiscing Forward

I was just thinking about the time of life "pre-Uganda;" doing research on the country, looking at pictures, trying to imagine just what it could be like there. I think I even wrote a series of blog posts called "What's it like there?" (which is funny to think about now, since I was just as clueless as you at the time.)

Now, however, is a different story. Still no expert on the country and culture of Uganda by any means, but I can at least say I know a little about "what it is like," here in Uganda. But since videos are fun (and I haven't put any up for like...forever), I'll let them speak for themselves.

Enjoy.

pictorial prayer - January 5, 2011

please pray for Northern Uganda. An outbreak of Yellow Fever has recently

been identified in nine districts in Northern Uganda. Yellow Fever is a

tropical virus that is carried by daytime-biting mosquitoes and has a

high mortality rate. So far it has killed 45 people in Uganda in the last 2

months.

please pray for protection against these mosquitoes for all our Hope Alive!

children and staff who live in these affected regions of Uganda. Please

pray that the country of Uganda will be able to access these vaccines so

that mass vaccinations can begin.
